We decided to catch the early morning flight to Sydney. We still had so much stuff do pack and organize before though that we hardly got two hours of sleep.
Cairns

We stayed at a campground in Cairns for three nights. The last stop with our camper. We needed that time to explore Cairns and its area and to get at least halfway settled before returning our mobile home.

After all the struggle we had we just wanted to leave Townsville as fast as possible. We decided to drive further north and stayed at one of the most picturesque campgrounds.

We stopped at Carlo Sandblow at the northern tip of Great Sandy National Park and were amazed by a desert-like setting right next to the ocean.

Our first days in Australia (Sydney to Port Macquarie)

We arrived in Sydney after a short three hour flight, checked into our hotel at the airport and then went to see the Opera House (because honestly isn’t that what everybody connects with Australia?). It was warm and sunny and just perfect.
